Quite frankly, I don't want to know anybody who commits that amount of time to a video game, or indoor activities in general. Been patiently waiting for the 2nd one, kind of sad it got pushed so far back but hopefully means the game will be in a better launch state (unlike Darktide which delayed multiple multiple times and launched in a lousy state still) 1. I played it right to the end, unlocking 34% of the trophies, but to get the platinum you'd literally have to spend over 100 hours playing this game. Yeah just played Space Marine earlier this year. If it were not for the Warhammer brand name this game would be the very definition of shovelware. Half of each chapter will involve you doing nothing but moving forward. The levels/chapters are very slow, with huge, cavernous empty spaces and bombed-out buildings that offer no interaction other than occasionally opening a door or elevator. Set on a distant planet filled with Orks it is your duty to wipe them all out. For a 3rd person shooter it's basic stuff. As Captain Titus (Mark Strong, the narrator of Who Do You Think You Are?) all you really do is go forward and shoot/duel, and it's a long game with nothing much sustain the many miles of bad road. There's also a feeling that, with Sicarius now commanding Primach Roboute Guillliman's elite Victrix Guard, Titus will be promoted to captain and command of the 2nd during or at the end of Space Marine 2, so Games Workshop can wash its hands of the whole thing.Space Marine is about as simplistic as current generation games get. Naturally, the details are up for debate: Some in the 40kLore subreddit think the lead in Space Marine 2 is actually a different Titus (apparently it's a pretty common name in the Ultramarines) while others say there's a small window between the times of Severus Agemman, who was promoted from command of the Ultramarines 2nd company to the 1st, and Sicarius, who replaced him, in which Titus could have held the role without disrupting the timline. Along with the lower rank, Titus has also crossed the Rubicon Primaris in Space Marine 2, meaning that he is now a Primaris Space Marine-another change from the first game.

There's probably a lore-based explanation for the demotion-Warhammer 40K has lore for everything-but according to the fan wiki, the change was made to accommodate a conflict with (you guessed it) the lore: Canonically, the Ultramarines 2nd Company was actually commanded by Cato Sicarius, while the events of the first Space Marine game took place in an alternate universe in which the company is commanded by Captain Titus.

Those of you who played the original Space Marine may be wondering why Titus is not a captain in the sequel, but a lower-ranked lieutenant instead.
